Rules of Conduct

The Rules of Conduct are guidelines that apply to conduct and behavior on the SynamicD website & forums, product and services. We thank you for taking the time to review them as their purpose is to ensure that, together, we provide a safe, fair and fun environment for all players.

A. Global Server Policy:

(Note: The term "server" applies to all servers SynamicD uses, including but not limited to: Forums, Chat, Playbooks, Games, Store, etc.)

To keep SynamicD a fun, fair, and safe gaming environment for everyone, you may NOT participate in any of the following activities or behavior:

  1. Once purchases have been made, they are final and non-refundable. Chargeback claims are unacceptable. Any user who files a chargeback claim on any Synamic Point Pack purchase will be banned immediately.
  2. Distribute files that contain viruses, corrupted data, or malicious software.
  3. Personal attacks, rude, or crude behavior is not allowed. Any form of online stalking/abuse or harassment will NOT be tolerated.
  4. Threaten, embarrass, harass, or do anything to harm another player or staff. This includes, but is not limited to the following: posting insulting/offensive/abusive comments about players or staff, repeatedly sending unwanted messages (harassment), attacking a player based on race/sexual orientation/religion/heritage/etc. This is a competitive and friendly game. Joking around with someone is OK, but there is a line between joking and harassment. (See "Harassment" below.)
  5. Create account names (username and nickname), tags or otherwise transmit or facilitate distribution of Content that is harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, or objectionable in a reasonable person's view.
  6. Trolling of any kind. Trolling is defined as posts, comments, or threads that knowingly lead to overly strong and emotional responses, just to cause amusement. Accounts created with the sole intent to "troll" will be suspended indefinitely. Constant personal attacks are also considered trolling.
  7. Create an alternate account for the purpose of disobeying the rules, to avoid punishment of your main account. These accounts will receive permanent bans. You are definitely allowed to have more than one account, however, not for this reason. We have the ability to track down every user that has shared characteristics with another banned account. So if you use different accounts to violate these rules, your accounts will be linked, and you risk all of your accounts being banned.
  8. Sharing account's credentials with other users. Once another user logs in to your SynamicD account, the SynamicD system connects these accounts together. If a user gets banned, all connected accounts are banned as well.
  9. Impersonate another person (players, celebrities, etc.), claim that you are a SynamicD Solutions employee or a member of SynamicD Staff, or attempt to mislead users by indicating that you represent SynamicD's partners or affiliates.
  10. Change the correct spelling of filtered content to dodge any of the SynamicD Server's chat filters.
  11. Post messages for any purpose other than communication. This means, any kind of: advertising or promotional messaging, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or other similar activities are not allowed without prior consent from SynamicD Solutions.
  12. Post or communicate any player's real-world personal information within the SynamicD servers. This doesn't include first names to known players.
  13. Attempt to get a password, other account information, or other private information from a player on SynamicD. This includes trying to steal cards, hack emails, obtain billing information, etc. (Remember: At no point will SynamicD Solutions or a SynamicD Staff member EVER ask you for your password. If anyone ever does, please contact us immediately.)
  14. Improper use of in-game or on-site support features. If you need immediate help while in game, or a problem arises, using the /staff or /admin commands to try and contact a Staff member is OK. But using this in an inappropriate matter is not.
  15. Attempt to interfere with, hack into or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers. Accessing or pinging our servers to disrupt us will be traced and all associated accounts will be banned. In addition, as this action constitutes a federal crime, the persons caught attempting these crimes will be subject to legal prosecution.
  16. Exploit any bug to gain unfair advantage in the game. This includes telling other people about the existence of any bug (either directly or through the forums) to any other player, outside of a bug post thread on the forum. If there is a bug, please do the right thing and report it to someone on the Admin team so it can be fixed. You could be rewarded!
  17. Sharing any copyrighted content that you do not own the rights to on the SynamicD Servers. Do not post copyright and/or press material without giving proper credit. If you found the information you want to share on another website, please give proper credit when posting on SynamicD's channels.
  18. Disrupt the flow of chat with vulgar language, abusiveness, inputting blank lines, use of excessive caps in an attempt to disturb other users, "spamming", or flooding (posting repetitive text over and over).
  19. SynamicD does not possess the proper licenses to allow user to user real money transactions. Therefore, we do not endorse, or allow solicitation of accounts, account contents, or any non SynamicD related item. Trying to sell or buy items is not allowed in the SynamicD servers. Any and all posts indicating so, will be removed immediately and the offender will be subject to an indefinite suspension.

Failure to comply with this code of conduct can result in being suspended from the SynamicD Server or being permanently banned depending on the frequency and severity of the offence at the sole discretion of SynamicD Staff. SynamicD reserves the right to suspend, permanently ban, or freeze any accounts belonging to users who violate these rules.

B. SynamicD's Harassment Policy:

Our goal is to build a strong community that offers a comfortable atmosphere for all of our players. We all have one common goal, and that is playing SynamicD. So we need to make sure that players are behaving correctly.

  1. Harassment consists of misuse and/or abuse of game features and verbal harassment with the intention of distressing and offending other players.
  2. Harassment is any behavior that is unpleasant, unavoidable, derogatory and directed specifically at you. Before reporting, attempt to mitigate the situation. Leave the room or ask the other user to stop. Never stoop to their level and get in a predicament on the game. If the offending player persists in the behavior, it should be reported to SynamicD Staff (info@synamicd.com). Screenshots (Print Screen button on Windows, or COMMAND-SHIFT-3 on Mac) and logs are always helpful. If not available, provide a time and date of occurrence, and names of players involved. We will then assess the situation and do what we need to do to get it stopped.
  3. Behavior that is always considered harassment includes derogatory and/or hateful comments that are sexual/racist/religious, or related to gender or creed.
  4. We have a chat filter in place to hide certain material from making it to the server. The filter works in a way that if a certain word (mostly profanity) is used, it will not submit that sentence/line of text to the server at all. It will return back a warning message to the user that sent the message. The filter will keep track of warnings given to each user and take appropriate actions. Formatting words to bypass the filter is not tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to: Using "ph" instead of "f", using "1", "l" or "!" instead of an "i", using spaces or periods between certain letters, and anything of the sort. (Note: Constant and chronic avoidance of the filter will not be tolerated.)
  5. Harassing a player can result in: penalties placed on the harassing party up to and including immediate account closure, based on the severity of harassment and the player's history. We are able to: kick, ban, mute, take away pages, etc, as needed to get the situation under control. Games and private messages (on forums and game) are not exempt from this policy. We never want to lose any players on SynamicD, so make sure to always follow the harassment guidelines!

C. SynamicD Community Forum Guidelines:

  1. Do not post in all capital letters, use excessive punctuation, etc. to draw attention to your posts.
  2. If you have a lot to say, please use proper grammar! It makes everything so much easier to read!
  3. Discussion of political, sexual, or religious topics are prohibited on the forums.
  4. Do not bump posts to the top without adding some kind of content to the thread. If you have a post that requires Admin attention, please let us know and we'll look into it. Do not hijack topics. Posting comments within a thread which severely disrupts the original conversation is prohibited. If you have the same issue as someone and find an old post that does not resolve your issue, make a new topic quoting the old one and steps you have taken.
  5. Do not post about locked or deleted threads or other moderator actions. Chances are if a topic/post was locked or deleted, it should have been. Topics that were posted in the wrong forum will be moved to a more appropriate forum or even removed completely. Posts that have been removed are not to be re-posted.
  6. If you have a post to report, use the REPORT button located on the post.
  7. We reserve the right to remove any post from the forums as we see fit, with or without notice to the user who made the post.
  8. Abusing these forums affects everyone who enjoys this game, so we ask for your cooperation and your support in achieving and maintaining this goal. Suggestions to make this an even better place for our community are always welcome! If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@synamicd.com.

D. Official SynamicD Events:

  1. SynamicD has a number of official tournaments each week that are ran by Administrators. There are also a number of tournaments ran by Referees and Staff. The individual that is running the events, is in complete control of the event and is to be treated with respect. Any disrespect or conduct that disrupts the flow of the tournament, may result in getting kicked from the server, a temporary mute, tournament bans, or banned until the duration of the event is complete.
  2. Tournament bans will vary based upon what warranted the ban. You will know the duration of the ban upon being banned. Being tournament banned will not allow you to participate in any official SynamicD Tournament.
  3. Deck talking is also frowned upon and may cause you to be tournament banned. You can be tournament banned for deck talking even if you are not in the event that is going on. Deck talking includes, but is not limited to: saying a specific page in your opponent's deck (Spine Buster), a certain move type (Head Down/HD), a specific turn the match ended (if early), specific strategy (stun chain), and something the opponent may have done during the match (open ditch). If you deck talk, you will immediately be disqualified (removed) from the tournament and your opponent will have the choice to have you banned from other tournaments as well.
  4. All normal rules apply during official events as well.

E. SynamicD Software:

  1. Software developed and/or distributed by SynamicD may not be sold or redistributed without consent of SynamicD Solutions, LLC.
  2. Software developed and/or distributed by SynamicD may not be modified in any way without consent of SynamicD Solutions, LLC.
  3. To ensure the most up-to-date content, and to prevent cluttering on your devices, SynamicD Software has access to Create, Copy, Modify, or Delete files contained in the devices the software is installed on.

Although it looks like there are a lot of rules in place, a great majority of them are common sense. These are meant as a safeguard to keep the forums and the SynamicD Chat Room active and relevant for the community of a game we all love.
